Jules Cadie

Jules Cadie was Head of Art at a school in North Northumberland for 13 years. Over this period he became increasingly interested in the relationship of the natural environment to personal creativity and community development. After a further 12 years' experience in arts and community development with local authorities, Jules became freelance in 1997, combining cultural development with his own practice as an artist. He is currently studying part-time at Northumbria University for an M.A. in Fine Art Practice.

His work is featured in private collections in the UK , mainland Europe and the USA , and through public commissions, including designs for a series of carved oak interpretation panels in a country park, designs for a range of seasonal ales for a brewery in Scotland , and cover designs for music publications. Although he has had occasional shows in galleries, art centres and education institutions, he prefers to exhibit from non-art spaces and his studio.
