My artwork represents responses to situations, events and journeys.

These may simply be representations of an intersection between different spheres of existence, such as geological. climatic and agricultural activities. Or they may be just the way that sunlight and shade reveal patterns and textures.

Whatever the 'situation', I try to reveal the dynamics that created it, and freeze a moment in time in order to reflect upon it. In the case of a journey, it may be a series of moments.

My aim is to encourage people to regard the work, not as lanscapes, but as 'situscapes'.

I am also looking to represent situations through simplified and symbolic imagery.
